1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using GetMover's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services

GetMover provides professional moving services including residential moving, office relocation, storage solutions, and international moving across the United States and internationally. Service availability, pricing, and scheduling are subject to assessment and confirmation by our team.

3. Quotes & Pricing

  • Quotes provided through our website are estimates based on the information you provide.
  • Final pricing may vary based on an in-home or virtual assessment of your actual belongings and move requirements.
  • All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.
  • Additional charges may apply for stairs, long carries, bulky items, or services not included in the original quote.

4. Booking & Cancellation

  • A deposit may be required to confirm your moving date. Deposit amounts and terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
  • Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled move date will receive a full deposit refund.
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled move may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your move, including inventory and access conditions.
  • Ensure clear access to your property for our moving crew on the scheduled date.
  • Disclose any items requiring special handling (fragile, hazardous, or high-value items).
  • Be present or designate an authorized representative during pickup and delivery.
  • Secure or remove items not intended for transport.

6. Prohibited Items

GetMover cannot transport the following items:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances)
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants or animals
  • Firearms and ammunition
  • Illegal substances
  • Personal documents and irreplaceable items (we recommend carrying these yourself)

7. Liability & Insurance

  • Basic liability coverage is included with every move as required by federal regulations.
  • Additional full-value protection is available for purchase at the time of booking.
  • Claims for damage or loss must be submitted in writing within 9 months of delivery.
  • GetMover is not liable for damage caused by improper packing by the customer (for items not packed by our team).

8. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the move unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
  • We accept major credit cards, debit cards, certified checks, and bank transfers.
  • Late payments may be subject to interest charges as permitted by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GetMover's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific move in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website, including submitting false information, attempting to interfere with site functionality, or using automated tools to access our services without permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
